DORIAL GREEN-BECKHAM: #1 Wide Receiver in HS Football History!!!

Dorial Green-Beckham: Class of 2012

Written by: Prospect-Central

Dorial Green-Beckham WR6'6'' 220 / Springfield, MO / Class of 2012
Many people believe that class of 2012 Dorial Green-Beckham might be the greatest wide receiver to ever put on a high school football jersey. Today, on October 27, 2011 the 6-foot 6-inch 220lb wide-out from Springfield, Missouri made me a believer!!! Dorial Green-Beckham has officially become the All-Time leading receiving yards record holder in High School Football history. With 1 minute and 6 seconds left in the second quarter, Dorial Green-Beckham caught an 81 yard touchdown pass to break the record held for 15 years by class of 1996 Abram Booty of Evangal Christian.  Green-Beckham finished the game with over 300 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns (plus the win). Believe me when I say...this is just the beginning of Dorial Green-Beckham's dominance.

Dorial Green-Beckham is the complete package when it comes to elite wide receivers. When you watch Dorial play, it is easy to see why he is already receiving Randy Moss comparisons.  He has the size, strength, speed and hands to not only become one of the best wide receivers in high school football history, but one of the best receivers at the next level as well.  While Dorial's life might seem like peaches n cream, unfortunately the 6-foot 6-inch 220lb Green-Beckham has had to travel through hell until he could get to heaven.

Dorial Green-Beckham was born in St.Louis, Missouri and is the second youngest son of Charmelle Green's six children.  His mother Charmelle, struggled with alcohol and legal troubles during Dorial's childhood and Dorial suffered from the effects.  Dorial Green and his younger brother Darnell Green (who is diagnosed with Leukemia) spent time transitioning between East St.Louis and Springfield during their childhood. The two brothers were bounced from home to home as if they were an unwanted commodity.  Sometimes they would live with their mother, other times they slept on couches of relatives.  When family members could not support Dorial and his brother anymore, foster homes were the only alternative.

When Dorial was in 7th grade, and relocation threatened to separate the two brother's, John Beckham (Dorial's current HS football coach) and his wife Tracey Beckham took the Green's into their home. The Beckham's, who have been foster parents for dozens of kids over the past 20 years officially adopted Dorial and his brother in 2006.  The two brothers are now known as the Green-Beckham's and they finally have a place to call home!!!
While Dorial Green-Beckham has endured many hardships throughout his short life on this earth, he finally seems to be coming into his own.  Dorial is the #1 high school football recruit in the nation and is currently being courted by the who's who of Division 1 colleges.  Besides just setting the National High School Football receiving yards record, Dorial has some other impressive stats to look at as well.  His career stats as of today, October 27, 2011 are ridiculous to say the least.  He has 276 career receptions, 6,211 yards and 69 touchdowns. He also has at least one more game (playoffs) to add to his already impressive resume.

Dorial Green Beckham has the stats to legitimately be called the best wide receiver in high school football history.  He also has the size, strength and athletic ability to parlay his outstanding high school career into a great college career and then the NFL.  Let me make myself quite clear when I say this...Dorial Green-Beckham WILL play in the NFL one day and he has a legitimate shot at being one of the first players selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, despite the fact he has yet to play one game of college football...that's how good he is!!!

Record Setting Reception
The future is very bright for Dorial Green-Beckham and it is only a matter of time before he starts breaking other receiving records at the next level.  Dorial has seen the lowest of lows during his life.  Now, he is experiencing the highest of highs.  There is no question in my mind that Dorial will be an elite wide receiver in college and possibly the pros.  Until then, Dorial Green-Beckham will have to continue to dominate the high school gridiron.
