The first release of Prospect-Central's 2015 NFL Mock Draft was over two years ago. The projected No. 1 pick at the time hadn't even played his first game of college football yet. Fast forward to PC's Final 2015 NFL Mock Draft; Florida State's Jameis Winston is once again holding down the top spot, and should be the first player off the board when the Tampa Bay Bucs decide to make him their franchise quarterback of the future.
Now even though PC only updated its 2015 NFL Mock Draft three times, and the last update was almost a year ago, over half the players are still projected as first round draft picks. Whether it plays out this way or not is another story, but considering the amount of time between updates, I'd have to say the accuracy to this point has been more than adequate so far. Of course once teams start making trades like they normally do during NFL Drafts, I'm sure everything will fall apart rather quickly.
No matter the connections you have to an organization or the amount of resources you have at your disposal, putting together Mock Drafts in the early stages comes down to one thing; eyeing talent. While PC focuses more on basketball rather than football, its track record for publishing accurate NFL Mock Drafts years in advance speaks for itself.
It's never too early to see what the future has in store, so you better believe the 2016 & 2017 NFL Drafts are right around the corner. Before that time comes however, there's some serious business that needs to be taken care of first. Chicago might be known for its basketball, but tonight all eyes will be on the Windy City for another reason. It's finally time to see how the 2015 NFL Draft unfolds.
