Jabari Parker & Simeon vs Findlay Prep: 2012 Spalding Hoophall Classic!!!

Jabari Parker & Simeon vs Findlay College Prep 2012 Spalding Hoophall Classic

The 2012 Spalding Hoophall Classic is the premiere high school basketball event in the nation and during the second week of January was home to a number of future NBA players. Of all the high school stars in attendance there is one in particular who some consider the best future pro in high school regardless of class.  Whether he is or isn't I'm not exactly sure, but he definitely deserves to be in the discussion.  I am talking about Simeon's Jabari Parker of course.  The 6-foot 8-inch junior had the likes of Mike Krzyzewski & John Calipari on hand to watch him ball and I'm sure they left quite impressed.

Jabari Parker & Simeon High School (Chicago, IL) faced off against Findlay College Prep (Henderson, NV) from the Spalding Hoophall Classic in Springfield, MA.  Simeon was the #1 team in the country at the time and has some talented young ballers besides just the #1 player in the Class of 2013 Jabari Parker.  Two such players are Marquette commit Steve Taylor as well as Top 50 player in the Class of 2013 Kendrick Nunn.  While Simeon is a solid squad, Findlay Prep is just as good.  Even though Findlay Prep was without their best player in Anthony Bennett (injured wrist), they have enough depth to play with any team in the country.  Some of these talented ballers are Arizona commit Brandon Ashley, Oregon Commit Dominic Artis, Top 50 player in the Class of 2012 Winston Shepard as well as one of the best juniors in the state of Nevada Nigel Williams-Goss.  With a team as talented as Findlay Prep you can see why Jabari Parker & Simeon had their hands full.

Even though Jabari Parker is only sixteen years old (turns seventeen in March) he plays with the savvy and intelligence of someone much older.  Add this to his remarkable skill set & excellent size for his position (with time to grow) and one could see why he's already receiving Carmelo Anthony comparisons.  While the future of Jabari Parker has NBA written all over it, he's not there yet.  He still has over two years of high school & college basketball to play before he's draft eligible. If he keeps developing at his current pace however, there's a good chance he could eventually be shaking David Stern's hand as a #1 NBA Draft PickThis is the entire game between Simeon High School & Findlay College Prep from the Spalding Hoophall Classic on January 16th, 2012.  Click "More Info" on the first video for specific details of the game and rosters of the teams.
