While there's over 6,000 William Jackson's in the United States alone, there's only one who's a 6-foot 4 freshman point guard with skills...Athens, Georgia's William Jackson!!! If you watch the high school freshman ball, one thing is apparent, he's not your run-of-the-mill Will.
William Jackson has some serious game and really made a name for himself this past season playing for the Athens Christian Eagles. He averaged roughly 17 points & 6 assists while helping the Eagles to a second place finish in Georgia's Class A division. Athens Christian loss to Whitefield Academy in the finals, despite a team high 20 points from Jackson.
While he may not have won a state championship, Jackson's play during the season certainly caught the attention of some college coaches, in particularly Georgia Tech's Brian Gregory. The Yellow Jacket's head coach seems to have his eye on the freshman and must know it's only a matter of time before other coaches catch wind of his game as well.
For the time being, look for William Jackson to have a productive spring & summer on the AAU circuit playing for the 17U Georgia Stars. His smooth stroke and tight handles should be on full display as he tries to establish himself as one of the top point guards in the Class of 2015. And if your name happens to be Carl Weathers...I'm sorry to inform you...There's a new "Action Jackson" on the scene!!!
